The BAG Tour rolled into Irish Creek this past weekend for our second Individual Stroke Play Event of the season and Event #2 of the DraftKings Sportsbook Series—and it delivered everything we could ask for. The course was in championship condition, the weather was perfect, and the competition was high-stakes across all four divisions.
With four first-time winners and multiple playoff storylines, this stop was one for the books. Here’s how it all went down:
Division A: Beam Bursts Onto the Scene
Addison Beam made his BAG Tour debut and wasted no time making an impression. The newcomer came out firing, holding off a hard-charging Dejuan Powell and Troy Kennedy, who’s been knocking at the door all season long.
Beam’s performance was nothing short of dominant—displaying poise, power, and precision throughout the day. With a win like this in his debut, Beam has officially entered the Division A conversation as a player to watch in 2025.

Division B: Dylan Finds His Groove
Reigning BAG Tour National Champion Dylan Jones finally found the form we’ve been waiting for. After a couple of close calls, Dylan put together a composed round to edge out both Caleb Marsh and Mike Klyn by a single stroke.
In true B Flight fashion, the drama didn’t stop there—Kevin Demeney holed out for birdie during the 5-for-1 playoff for 4th, adding yet another memorable finish to the B Flight highlight reel.

Division C: The Shell Show Returns
Jacob Shell returned to BAG Tour action in front of a home crowd, and the man delivered. With his 2024 scoring average hovering north of 88, few expected the performance he put together—but Shell dropped a lights-out 74, defending his home turf and securing his first ever BAG Tour win in spectacular fashion.
A comeback like that doesn’t just win trophies—it wins respect.

Division D: Big Brother Energy from Wesley Shell
Not to be outdone, Wesley Shell followed his brother’s lead with a wire-to-wire win in Division D. Wesley’s game has been steadily improving, and this weekend he finally broke through with a dominant showing that earned him a well-deserved promotion to Division C.
Fred Heintz and Colby Grindstaff stayed in the mix most of the round, but couldn’t get the putter going when they needed it most. Wesley took full advantage and never looked back.
