RECAP: Fripp Island
RECAP: SC Invitational
The 2025 South Carolina Invitational at Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort delivered everything we love about the BAG Tour — oceanfront golf, tight competition, dramatic finishes, and leaderboard shakeups that set the stage for an incredible series finale.
In Division A, it was Levi Shelton and Joe Helmick who rose to the occasion, capturing the win in impressive fashion. The victory not only adds another title to Helmick’s season résumé but also gives him the outright lead in the Outerlinks Series race — putting him in prime position for the $1,000 bonus heading into the final event of the year at Mooresville Golf Club.
Congrats to our Division A podium finishers!
| Position | Team | Score | Points | Earnings |
| 1 | Shelton/Helmick | 128 | 125 | $1000 |
| 2 | Jones/Dyson | 135 | 100 | $200 |
| 3 | Jolley/Thornburg | 135 | 80 |
Division B produced one of the most exciting turnarounds of the season. Season Points Leader Chris Grindstaff and long-time partner Wayne Carver stormed back on Day 2 to claim their first team win of the year, overtaking Day 1 leaders and divisional favorites Hunter Coggins and Jordan Davis in dramatic fashion.
Congrats to our Division B Podium!

In Division C, it was all about Trevor Hogeland and newcomer Michael Suter, who jumped out to a commanding Day 1 lead and never looked back. Suter secured his first-ever Tour win, while the pair managed the final round smartly to hold off a late push from Richard Fuller and Andres Casasco, who continue to hunt for their breakthrough victory.
