RECAP: Peninsula Club Championsip
Outerlinks Series Opener
We were back at the beautiful Peninsula Club for the first time since its stunning restoration — and it did not disappoint. With postcard weather and a packed field of new and familiar faces, the stage was set for one of the biggest and most competitive events in Tour history.
Big thanks to Eric and the incredible staff at Peninsula for delivering a top-tier experience once again — from the course conditions to the atmosphere, it was nothing short of championship caliber.
Division D was a full-on race to the checkered flag as AJ Allmendinger and Daniel Dye teamed up and held off Sean Hamacher and Alex Miller to secure Daniel’s first Tour win and another trophy for AJ’s growing BAG Tour resume.
Division C delivered fireworks down the stretch — with clubhouse leaders Caleb Tench and Andrew Keene watching on, Fred Lee holed out for birdie from the bunker on 18 to seal a dramatic second win of the season alongside partner Rob Grunedel.
Division B was another battle to remember — after three years grinding on Tour, Anthony Redden and Brian Peaco finally broke through and captured their first career BAG Tour win in impressive fashion.
Division A was wide open, loaded with talent — but it was newcomers Justin Wiles and Tommy Padgett who emerged victorious, holding off late charges from Lowman/Mundy and Vennari/Watkins to grab the win.
One Outerlinks event down… and things are just heating up. We’ll see you in a few short weeks at Cowans Ford Country Club for the Lake Norman Classic — an individual stroke play showdown where the leaderboard resets and everyone’s got something to prove.
