Venue: Rockbarn Country Club
Tour Stop: The Rockbarn Championship
Series: 5 Pointz Golf – Event 3 of 4
Conditions: Hot. Competitive. Unforgettable.
Storyline: History, heartbreak, and hard-earned hardware.

The Rockbarn Championship was everything we love about Tour golf — big names, emotional wins, and performances that rewrote the record books. As the third stop in the 5 Pointz Golf Series, the stakes were high and the pressure was real — and those who rose to the moment made their mark.

Let’s break it down.

Division A: History for Dejuan Powell

In what will go down as one of the most dominant performances in BAG Tour history, Dejuan Powell didn’t just win — he demolished the field, securing the largest margin of victory ever recorded in Division A.

The man was untouchable — firing on all cylinders from start to finish, Dejuan turned Rockbarn into his personal highlight reel and delivered a performance that will be talked about for seasons to come. With this historic win, Powell cements himself as a serious contender for both the 5 Pointz title and year-end honors.

Division B: Lauer’s Long-Awaited Moment

Austin Lauer is the definition of perseverance. After five years of grinding, close calls, and unwavering dedication to the Tour, Lauer finally found the winner’s circle at Rockbarn.

It was a composed, steady round from a player who’s seen every kind of leaderboard. And when the moment came, Lauer rose to it — writing one of the most heartwarming chapters of the 2025 season. There are a lot of wins on Tour, but none more meaningful than your first.

Division C: Grindstaff’s Redemption Arc

If there was ever a player with unfinished business, it’s Chris Grindstaff. After losing the Tour Championship in heartbreaking fashion last season to Dylan Jones, Grindstaff came into 2025 with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove.

Rockbarn was proof. He played smart, stayed aggressive when it mattered, and walked away with a win that sends a message — redemption is in full swing. Grindstaff is back, and he’s not here for second place.

Division D: McElwaine Breaks Through

Mike McElwaine’s Tour journey has been one of grit, patience, and quiet confidence. After three years of steady competition, he finally had it all click — picking up his first-ever Tour win at Rockbarn in dramatic fashion.

It came down to the final hole, where Mike held off a fierce charge from Tour regulars Eric Molyneaux and Fred Heintz to seal the deal. It was a hard-fought, emotional win — and a reminder that on the BAG Tour, the grind is always worth it.
