Rookie Spotlight: Casey Brighton

Can Casey Brighton shake up Division B?

Casey Brighton, a rookie member on the BAG Tour, is ready to start his first full season on the tour. Casey, who is a former collegiate baseball player, has recently turned his focus to golf and is eager to make his mark on the tour.

Casey’s background in baseball has helped him to develop a strong mental game and the ability to perform under pressure. These skills have translated well to golf, as he is able to stay focused and composed on the course, even in high-pressure situations.

Casey’s athleticism and strength have also been an asset on the course, as he has been known to hit the ball a long way and has a natural swing. He has been working hard to improve his short game and overall golf skills.

He has quickly adapted to the game and has shown great potential as a golfer. The BAG Tour community is excited to see what Casey will accomplish this season and in the future.

Brighton in his first action on Tour

The B Division on the BAG Tour is one of the most competitive and entertaining divisions on the Planet. They are absolutey loaded with talent including names like Adam Jolley, Dylan Jones, Frank Garcia, Alex Hunter, Mike Klyn, Nick Nedvesky and the list goes on and on. Now enters rookie, Casey Brighton, who is ready to shake things up and make a name for himself on the Tour. The former Collegiate baseball player made his debut on the BAG Tour in 2021 as a guest at the Verdict Ridge Shootout, an individual stroke play event.

In arguably one of the toughest B Division’s from any tournament all year, boasting a field of 18 total players, Casey Brighton came into the day under the radar and unpicked to win from the analysts. However, Casey battled his heart out and at the end of the day found himself in a 3-way playoff for 1st place. Mike Tobias, Alex Hunter & Casey Brighton would begin their 3-way sudden death battle on the 9th Hole and it would continue for two more until Mike Tobias finally came out on top. Though our sample size of Casey is small, we are optimistic and anxious to see what he can do with a full schedule under his belt in this Rookie Season.
