MLB pitcher joins BAG Tour

From the Major Leagues to the BAG Tour.

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher, Cole Irvin, nicknamed “Swirvin Irvin”, loves to compete & has a deep passion for the game of golf. This season, Cole brought his talents over to the BAG Tour to begin his rookie campaign. Cole made his debut at the Cheraw Shootout but under-performed considering the high standards he has for his game.

Like any true competitor and athlete would, Cole got back to the drawing board and put in tons of work leading up to his next event, The Regular Season Finale at Rocky River Golf Club. Cole teamed up with former Carolina Panther, Frank Garcia and these boys came to play. They fired a score of 64 (-8) and found themselves in a 2-way tie at the top of the leaderboard.

Professional athletes thrive under pressure and thats just what Cole and Frank did. After a 3 hole sudden death playoff battle with Tour founder, Andy Fleetwood & his teammate, Chip Koepka, Cole was able to close it out with a 25 footer on the Par 3, 10th green. We look for the lefty to have a big year on the mound and on the links in his post season.
